This articles applies to Zone Protector devices running firmware version 2.32A or greater.

Firmware version 2.32A saw the introduction of several new detection methods to improve the Zone Protectors sensitivity and overall ability to detect various RF protocols.

When you upgrade the Zone Protector to firmware version 2.32A the appropriate detection method will automatically be applied to each of the default detection channels.

However when creating a custom channel  it may be best to use use  the “Mean RF level” setting as shown below for signals which appear as continuous RF waves to the Zone Protector

When creating channels required to detect pulsing wave forms (e.g TDMA) it may be best to us “Peak RF level” as shown below.

If you are unsure which detection method to use it may be best to select “Peak RF level” as the default detection method.
